Heart Life Seminars and Events
Heart Life Seminar
High 5, Health & Hospitality
October 12, 2010, 6:30pm
Speaker: Tracy Canant
Tracy is a dietitian by training and will delight us (and those who share our dinner table) as she shows us how to simplify dinner preparation without sacrificing flavor or nutrition.
She will share creative recipes with five ingredients or less that will allow us to serve healthy meals to our families and encourage us to fulfill the mandate of scripture to “Offer hospitality to one another without grumbling.” Surely Peter had recipes with ingredients we’ve never heard of in mind when he penned this verse!
Equipped with new recipes (that are also healthy recipes), we pray you will be inspired to glorify God by practicing hospitality in your home.

Ladies Christmas Brunch Follow the Star
December 11, 2010, 10am
Speaker: TBA
“We saw his star in the east and have come to worship Him.” Matthew 2:2b
Just as the wise men celebrated the birth of the Christ child by following the star to worship the king, we pray that you will be inspired to do the same. Wise men (and wise women!) still follow the star today.
Our annual Ladies Christmas Tea is a First Baptist favorite that you won’t want to miss! Come join us and prepare your heart to celebrate Jesus. This Christ-centered celebration offers delicious food, festive music, and the gospel message, Follow the Star. Please invite a friend. Continuing with last year’s tradition, please bring a canned food item for the Manna Center. And don’t forget your teacup!
